Autism & Social Communication
Neurodiversity-affirming social-pragmatic therapy for autistic teens and adults.
Most autistic clients I work with come in with their own goals. A job interview coming up. Dating. A roommate situation. Work meetings. We work on the situations you bring. The approach is collaborative, neurodiversity-affirming, and shaped around what you actually want.
What it is
Neurodiversity-affirming speech-language pathology for autistic teens and adults. The work can support social-pragmatic communication, conversational fluency, navigating relationships, and the transitions that come with becoming an adult.
Who this is for
- Autistic teens or young adults exploring communication therapy on their own terms
- Late-identified autistic adults working on professional or social communication
- Anyone seeking neurodiversity-affirming SLP support
How I approach this work
This work is explicitly neurodiversity-affirming. Built around what you want, not what a textbook says you should want. With teens and young adults, that often means working on adult transitions, peer and family relationships, romantic relationships, job applications, and the conversational skills that come up in interviews, dating, and workplace settings.
What sessions look like
Sessions adapt to what you're working on. We can role-play interview prep, practice the conversations that come up in dating or workplace settings, work on conversational pacing and pragmatics, or focus on whatever specific communication situation is on your plate.
- Personalized plan from session one
- Practice strategies for daily life
- Caregiver / family coaching as needed
- Honest progress check-ins
